FO: Quiltworx Leaf Runner

In October 2016, I took a quilting class at the Quilt Crossing. Sandy Lieske taught the class, and it was the first of the Quiltworx.com Leaf Series. This is a super cute large runner pattern, and it’s a great way to get introduced to the Quiltworx patterns. Conveniently, Sandy gave me a kit for the […]

FO: Modern Expressions Tiling Scene

This is the first finished quilt since moving back to Boise. I’ve had a severe case of startitis…..I’ve taken too many classes and had to dedicate a day to finishing some items.  I wanted a simple embroidery project to get back into embroidered quilts again before tackling something larger.  This finished about 20″x20″, so it […]

It’s been a while….again.

It’s been a long time since I blogged. I actually had a few¬†FOs for Christmas, but then a few didn’t get done in time and I didn’t post them. Plus I forgot to take pictures of most of them. I’ve actually dyed a metric-ton (almost) of fabric, and didn’t take a single picture. So, you’re […]

FO: Another Baby Quilt

Pattern: My own from this post Fabric: An old Bali Pops set from the archives, plus Minkee on the back Another quilt from the quilt-a-palooza in Boise in October. This one is going to a friend who is having baby #8.   A shot of the back: The Minkee buries the quilting thread. You’d never […]

FO: Apartment Warming Gift for Jilly

Unfortunately, I don’t know what pattern this is. It’s obvious it was done with Bali Pop Strips. And I vaguely remember working on it in Boise. I was digging around in the cupboard before I visited in Sandy, in a mad frantic bid to find some quilt tops in order to practice long arm quilting. […]

FO: “Funky Flowers II”

This is the last quilt from the Christmas 2013 holiday quilting blitz. This quilt was started in Sue Benner‘s class at MISA in June 2013. The color is a little washed out in this picture.

FO: Hubba Hubba Hollyhock wool pillow

Now for something a little different…..this is a kit from Wooly Lady, a company in Eagle River, WI. They have beautiful hand dyed wool and absolutely awesome customer service. I bought and am working on a second pillow for myself as Jill received this one for her b-day in February.

FO: “Sandy’s Scraps”

Again, from the November 2013 Boise trip…..Sandy had some scraps too!   And here’s a close up:

FO: “Laura’s Scraps”

So…..I was in Boise for the class with Carol Ann Waugh in November 2013……and I didn’t have any other projects with me and finished up the piece from the class. So, I rooted through LauraR’s scraps and did a improvised quilt. Here’s the result!

FO: “Rhythm I”

I took a class from Carol Ann Waugh at the Quilt Crossing in Boise, ID November 2013. Carol was a very fun and fabulous teacher and I’m really happy with this result. In particular I enjoyed the hand embroidery more than I thought I would!   Here’s a close up of the hand work:
